Water,, Environment and Business for Development (WE & B) is a consulting company focused on the economic and social aspects of the water and environmental sectors. WE&B implements water and environmental solutions, innovative business practices and builds capacity to assist communities, companies and public authorities to sustainably develop.

WE&B is divided into 2 main work areas with 3 cross cutting themes. Our main areas of focus are:

WssTP is the European Technology Platform for Water. WssTP strives to increase coordination and collaboration on water-related challenges, and to increase the competitiveness of the European water sector and allied sectors.  WssTP uniquely represents the full diversity of the water value chain including industry, research, utilities, technology providers, and water users. With 90% of the global economic activity dependent on water, the sustainable and innovative management of this resource is key to our future.

The cluster for water efficiency – ZINNAE involved most of actors in the region that operate in the sector of water management and efficiency. ZINNAE is comprised of 34 members, of with 60% are business entities, together with dedicated research and higher education institutions, local and supra-regional public authorities as well as other relevant stakeholders around water sector in Aragon region (Spain). ZINNAE is a cluster following the quadruple helix collaboration approach, with multiple possibilities for multi-disciplinary collaborative projects among its members. ZINNAE activities:

  • Networking: creating opportunities, facilitating the relationship with public administrations and EU Contacts.
  • Boosting innovative ideas through developing collaborative RD&I projects.
  • Collaborative business. We facilitate collaborative business, boosting the collaboration among our business entities and design of new products and services.
  • Visibility. Our cluster is recognized by the Smart Specialization Strategy of Aragon region in Spain (RIS3). We participate in European (EIP-Water, ERRIN) networks.
